Went to the beach halfway through FSU taking a giant shite on LSU. Convenient timing.

Love how petty the Bengals are to leak the contract right in the 1st Q of the Chiefs opener. Burrowhead!

Congrats to him. That's a hell of a contract. He just reset the QB market.

Bengals are going to be contenders for a while.

If they can afford anyone else to help him. Having a great QB is a start, but he can't catch his passes or play defense.

Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay is a great example of this. Elite QB play can only take you so far when all you can afford is average skill players.

Chase, Higgins, and Burrow are the talent core of the Bengals.

Part of it.

Hendrickson, Hubbard, Pratt, and Wilson all got extended this offseason.

Plus Brown signed a favorable contract at LT, and Mixon restructured to take a pay cut at RB.

All while getting younger, faster, and cheaper in the secondary.

Bengals have Higgins for 2023 already, and will probably franchise tag him after that. That gives a couple years of salary cap increases to open enough space to extend him, or for Iosivas to step into his role for a fraction of the cost.

Contract won't kick in until 2025. Plenty of time for salary cap to increase between now and then. By the time he sees the first dollar it, will probably be a pretty average contract for a good QB.

Last night’s game showed that too. Mahomes played winning football but their receivers & the right side of that OL were hot garbage.
