There’s no way 99.9% of football players all have the same liberal opinion.

I'd bet at least 90% of them are pro abortion

There are maybe 50-60% that feel that way,

bruh, 50-60% of Americans think that way. Football players are going to have a much higher concentration of liberal minded people based on demographics and averages within those demographics alone

but most are just afraid of being cancelled by the liberal mob.

sure, that definitely happens, see Drew Brees
quote:

That is 100% bitch no matter what side of the political spectrum you fall on.

If you lose the respect of your team, can you still lead them? That's the rub. The best course of action is to just keep quiet on political issues and toe the line for the sake of not pissing off your team mates. With the way society is now, it's impossible be unaffected by being open and honest about your beliefs if those beliefs differ from what the media tells you to believe. It's a sad but true reality

I mean, we all have to deal with this on some level, or at least most of us do. I have to be very diplomatic about how and what I say while on the job because it would be bad for business if I were to be completely transparent and publicized what I believe without regard to my audience.

Most polls show that Americans are over 60% in favor of abortions being available. If football players are at the same percentage, that just puts them dead even with the general populace.

Remember everyone: It's the liberals who can't tolerate those with different ideas.

The liberals.

False.

Joe Burrow said NOTHING about 'he wants to take your guns.'

This was his direct quote:
"With everything that's going on, if you're not going to outlaw everything, you've gotta, at least, make it harder to get those crazy guns that everybody is using. I don't think you should be able to just walk in there and buy one, you gotta be able to go through a rigorous process to buy something like that, I think."

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL he said was (translation):
Make it harder for the average civilian American citizen to purchase automatic weapons used on battlefields. He didn't say "BAAAAAAAAAAANNNNN" them! Jeezum crickets.

Joe Burrow: Anti Gun and Pro Choice
This literally ruined any legacy that he will have. Lost all respect.

Athletes... especially ones this young...need to keep politics out of their mouths.

Ok. Let me get this straight. You "lost all respect" because he stated he is in favor of it being more difficult for the average civilian American citizen to purchase automatic weapons used on overseas battlefields ??????????
He didn't say "ban" them. He is only in favor of more stringent regulations for anybody on the street to buy weapons like those used in Uvalde and Newtown.

How is this one simple opinion 'ruining his legacy' ?????????????? Jeezum crickets......

And yes - I am a conservative Republican...

He's misinformed on his opinions about guns. More stringent background checks won't do anything to curtail gun homicides when law enforcement doesn't pursue current violations at all, and his targeting of the AR platform is unreasonable when that platform is only responsible for a fraction of a percent of gun deaths.

He's also misinformed on abortion. The SC did not prohibit a single abortion. They just gave that choice back to the States, as it rightly should be.

Also, I flagged OP for wrong board.

It's almost impossible to buy these already.

You want to slow gun violence, you need more law enforcement focus on black men with stolen handguns.
