Basically, the best Canadian pole Vaulter of all time, fell and hit her head trying to get into the shower at a hotel 3 months before the 2022 Tokyo Olympics. She can clear 15 feet on a pole vault, but couldn’t clear the 1 foot high porcelain wall of the shower tub.
Apparently she hit her face on the spout and was disoriented. She went back to training a couple weeks later, but come the Olympics (had a chance at bronze probably), she couldn’t even make the first qualifying height after repeated tries. So she’s a big advocate for safety in sports and concussions are bad…speaking of bad, pretty sure she has an OF site now.
And since this is about Jimbo - here’s one for the Aggies:

She might have medalled if she had a coach like Leach that would have locked her in a dark equipment shed. Sad.
