I bet he could do well in a place that has low expectations and pressure.

Jimbo Fisher confesses he ‘cried’ over leaving Florida State for Texas A&M
I bet he laughed his butt off when his termination from A&M activated a buyout worth $76 million.

There is no worse spot to be in than Notre Dame football or Florida State baseball or Kentucky basketball where you’re consistently great but your ceiling is just below championship. You might as well be in the college athletics cuck chair watching the rival that bullies you on a yearly basis take your silver and gold woman.
You just described Arkansas Baseball and LSU (the rival) in the CWS this year.

A&M screwed this up so bad. They kept throwing money at a coach who didn't want the job.
Finally, the deal was so ridiculous he had to accept.
But his heart was never in it. There should be a lesson in this somewhere.

I don't understand wanting to work if you don't have to.
I'm not saying be a lazy POS that never does anything. But travel, have some hobbies, volunteer, etc. Or find a passion that is "work" but not relied on.
Being a D1 college football coach sounds like an awful job right now. Long hours, lots of stress, tons of scrutiny.
I wish he would have told his agent he's really in it for bonding with the kids before we paid him $95 million.

These guys don't know anything else and generally aren't motivated by money.
Their contract amounts are usually more about stroking their ego than a guy looking for a massive payday to retire on (Ed O being an obvious outlier).

He was relevant as a recruiter because he was a major bag dropper pre NIL. Don't think he is near the recruiter he was in the old days in the new era.
His #1 2022 class, which was a hilarious bust, was good old fashioned bags. Jimbo said that class was not NIL.
