Orgeron doesn't call plays so that might not be a bad thing. He's also clearly a better recruiter than Fisher.

No, if you take Fisher, the balance is reset to 0 on all sides. No remaining payments and no penalty owed.

Wishful thinking.. there is no chance that LSU relieves y’all of that burden.

Frick no, I'd rather O any day.

O is a better recruiter and his offensive success is based on who he hires.

Sure, he'll probably frick it up but he might get lucky and hire a Joe Brady.

Fisher is going to run an outdated offense regardless.

You're not telling the complete story on Foster. He was signed at the absolute last minute because Sumlin left nothing in the class

This isn't really the full story either. LSU was recruiting him very hard and turned down guys to save a spot for him. It's not like he was just some also ran recruit.

Y'all won Foster on signing day and LSU ended up having to settle for a grad transfer from the Midwest.

Where is James Foster now? Kid from Montgomery that I wanted Alabama to offer in that 2018 class.

Fisher then proceeded not to have Foster take any snaps during the 2018 season and play in 3 total games in 2019.

Want to see how often Fisher lets backups play when the game is decided?

2018 Northwestern State: Starkel played 34 snaps, Blumrick 9
2018 Alabama: Mond played the entire game
2018 UAB: Mond played the entire game
2018 N.C. State: Starkel played 6 snaps
2019 Texas State: Calzada played 13 snaps
2019 Clemson: Mond played the entire game
2019 Lamar: Calzada played 12 snaps, Foster 9
2019 Alabama: Mond played the entire game
2019 Mississippi State: Mond played the entire game
2019 UTSA: Calzada played 17 snaps, Foster 1
2019 South Carolina: Foster played 7 snaps
2019 LSU: Foster played 7 snaps
2020 Alabama: King played 8 snaps
2020 Mississippi State: Mond played the entire game
2020 Arkansas: Mond played the entire game
2020 South Carolina: King played 8 snaps
2020 LSU: Mond played the entire game
2020 Tennessee: Mond played the entire game
2021 Kent State: Calzada played 5 total snaps
2021 New Mexico: Bost played 5 total snaps

So, to recap, under Fisher:

The Second String QB played 40 snaps in 2018, 42 in 2019, 16 in 2020 and 10 in 2021.

The Third String QB played 9 snaps in 2018, 24 in 2019, 0 in 2020 or 2021.

Out of 980 snaps in 2018, the backup QB had 40 and his backup had 9 snaps
Out of 881 snaps in 2019, the backup QB had 42 and his backup had 24 snaps
Out of 678 snaps in 2020, the backup QB had 16 snaps.
Out of 323 snaps in 2021, the backup QB has 10 snaps.

That either means a lot of close games, or Fisher might be an idiot for never giving the other guy quality time. Maybe it is fine as long as QB1 doesn’t get hurt.. and if you have guys ready to take over for QB1.. but King doesn’t fit that category for me.

Either way, that is a pretty damning stat imo.

In 2018, NW State, Alabama, UAB and NC State were decided early in the 3rd quarter.

In 2019, Texas State, Clemson, Alabama, Mississippi State, UTSA and South Carolina were well in hand late 3rd quarter. LSU was over by halftime.

In 2020, Alabama was over in the 3rd, Mississippi State was already playing THEIR 2nd string in the 4th, Arkansas was down 42-17 after 3, South Carolina was down 38-0 in the 3rd and LSU was down 20-0 in the 4th.

In 2021, Kent State was down 34-3 early 4th and New Mexico was down 34-0 mid 3rd.

Weigman wants to play for Schlossnagle, so it's highly likely we keep him.

We shall see.. I think y’all should hit the portal either way. Not sure who will be out there, but I imagine there is someone better than King & Calzone.

Bigbro is undressing the Aggies and I haven't seen any decent rebuttals from their camp.

I did the same exact analysis on Mullen @ Florida today and no one cared.. I think it is just more fun to make fun of the Aggies..

Maybe i’ll do Orgeron next.. but his 2019 numbers will skew the results..
