How is that a violation? Dead period ended January 3rd. And Quiet period didn't start till today.
After the Tiger Prowl, there's a limit on the number of coaches that can visit any one prospect.

That's one fat motherfricker.
Not that there's anything wrong with that. Terrence Cody practically lactated milk and he was a beast for Alabama on the field.

No flaming. Generally curiosity.
What's the deal with this guy? His offer list was pretty terrible. I've never heard of him before (don't follow bama recruiting all that much).
Known project? Could turn into something great? Reach?
Brandon Ivory was signed late in the 2010 class. He's from Memphis. He's huge, but very raw. He redshirted last year, and has had some praise from time to time. He's not going to push for a starting spot in 2011, but he could see some snaps as the season progresses.

LoL.
I'm pretty sure that's during the evaluation period... which ended Nov 27th...

Thanks.
Just never heard about him before.

I was just suggesting why the poster thought it was illegal. I have no idea. Westerman is going to Texas, so it's really a moot point.

He is supposed to be very good but I would be surprised if Saban started him ahead of Chapman with Josh going into his senior season. Chapman has 3 years of SEC experience and started every game this year. Williams will play a lot but I would be surprised if he started.

10-4
They met with them yesterday. That guy doesn't make any sense. I have no idea why he would even post that incoherent thought in this thread about bama's NT.

I don't think Williams will be one and done either. Doubtful he will be able to start ahead of Chapman and be impressive enough to leave early in a backup role. I think Jesse plays but backs up Chapman his first year and then starts in year 2.

He'll play a lot. Alabama uses so many multiple fronts in its version of the 3-4. We play four man fronts nearly 60% of the game, and don't always shift over a DE. He'll certainly get in on short yardage from the get go.

I agree but will he play enough to solidify himself as a high first round draft pick with a guy who already played for 3 years in front of him?
Posted on 1/10/11 at 12:25 am to Bamascoopfan
He'll have the nose all to himself in 2012, if he continues his development. He just has to beat out Murphy and Moore this spring, to back-up Chapman.

I agree with that. He will be good his first year and hopefully great in his second.

For those who seem to be having difficulties
in figuring out exactly what Jesse is in terms of
ethnicity, allow Mr Williams to tell you in his own words. Ladies & gentlemen, Jesse Williams:
"My family is indigenous Australians which means descendants of the original inhabitants of the Australian continent. My descendants are Aborigional descendents from the Wuthathi Tribe and Seven Rivers people in the Far North Queensland. My Torres Strait Island descendents are from Moa Island and the Thursday Island in Torres Strait and my great grandfather is a Torres Strait Island elder."
The tattoos are tribal. His method of dealing with opponents on the field is total devastation.
You have been warned.

The NT position is pretty much Jesse's to lose. He was brought in because Josh Chapman isn't a true fit, but was the best option this season. Despite Chapman's hulkish strength, he cannot command a doublt team...

SOOOOO not worried
The Chaz Ramsey offensive line mentality will take care of him.
