The problem with this strategy for Pruitt in divulging NCAA violations among the football program and other sports is that the year is 2021.
NO ONE CARES that athletes got money and benefits from boosters.
Someone may want to inform the attorney that these practices are now allowed and the NCAA is a feckless organization

Let's not ignore the fact that Pruitt is a bona fide illiterate redneck who might be overestimating the merits of his case and the fallout therefrom.

If he does I doubt he could ever get another coaching job in any capacity.
I’d imagine if he did get another job, the NCAA would already be curious why Pruitt knew about NCAA violations for so long without reporting them.

UT can't win here. Offer him 75% of his contract and move on.

Damn. What could Pruitt have on Tennessee that both he and his lawyer feel confident in staking both their careers on it?
Talk about juicy!

He was fired with cause for violations, his response is "pay me or I will sue you and expose all the violations I know about"

Rush is done anyway. He is fighting for his life in Birmingham with covid and pneumonia. I hope he makes I don't wish bad on anyone.

I'd have to imagine they did, at one point, offer him a reduced buyout to walk away and Pruitt told them to pound sand, which is why we are where we are now

And now you know why Eddie O isn’t getting fired with cause, and is getting his buyout.

This won't end well for UT. Nothing they have done has ended well in the last 20 years. Literal crooks have been running the university for a while. Something orange burning down always has a unique appearance to it.

Pruitt reports to UT compliance department. remember OM tweet? They can and will crush anything.

How does one go about crippling an athletic program that is already crippled?

Heupel is going to be a decent HC
I was skeptical of the hire initially but Heupel does seem to be doing a good job. Especially considering the dumpster fire he inherited.

UT cant win, settle. This was handled poorly from the get go, i imagine war'ing factions of boosters arent playing nice in the sandbox.
Eitherway, it could be more embarrassing than saturday night for ut.

If nothing else, Heupel’s teams have not quit on him.
This alone is light years ahead of the previous three coaches.
