When Jennings came in he was much better in the pocket and passing than Harris. Sure, he should be, but is getting Harris ready for next year worth forfeiting the entire season by playing a fresh who is obviously not ready?

I think expectations were unrealistic for a true freshman making his first start on the road against the defending SEC champions.

Congrats on making a call from 1 game.

Harris is going to be better by far and has a much higher ceiling.

Harris never let the game slow down. He's more talented but not ready for that environment.

Jennings is cooler under pressure (generally) but isn't the threat that Harris is.

edit: I expected to see a lot of Harris at UW and early but when he did go in he seemed like a deer in headlights. Just not ready and the coaches knew it.

LSU fans weren't expecting any type of championship this year

Full disclosure, I am watching the replay jacking off with one hand while I type this with the other.

Les said Harris wasn't ready but our fans are fricking stupid. Harris needs time to develop.

Hard to win games with this kind of QB play and a sieve for a D.

Yeah and these kids are kind of psychologically vulnerable at this time. Getting reps in practice, learning the O and building confidence is important. Getting thrown to the wolves could end up backfiring....

I know the feeling as I did the same watching us rape you in 2011 without our heisman finalist even suiting up.

You will lose at state, and will need help to get back to Atlanta.

As for the topic at hand, jennings also had the luxury of sitting on the bench the first half. Although he looks more in control, he is unable to make the plays. Harris needs to take his licks and learn now while we struggle through this year.

In Harris' on words, he played awful. That being said, he has still outperformed Jennings this year. He missed a half-dozen wide open throws. I doubt he does that again. You saw a couple of signs of what folks are talking about. The 52 yard throw on the run and across his body is one Jennings (and many other QB's)can't make. His gliding running style on the 36 yard run displayed again something Jennings probably would have been far short of. If he's healthy I say take your lumps with the Kid. He is the future at this point.
