I've seen a lot of people say this, but he threw the ball before the receiver got any separation. It was an amazing pass.

He looked good, but it was also Arkansas.

His mobility is what has me excited. I love Mett, but he is a goddamn statue.

He reminds people of RGIII and Russel Wilson -- especially with the smarts, poise, maturity and leadership qualities. He's gonna keep DC's up very late at night the next few years.

Cameron is the real difference for us though

Cameron and Chief are huge to the program. Not quite sure why we can't get a consistent 60 minutes as a matter of norm...maybe this can get better too.

I think having a quality coach like CC makes all the difference to a young QB(I know...understatement). He looked confident because he had been well prepared.

Say what you want to about LM, but he is the one that hired CC.

LSU seems to have hit on some QB recruits lately.

Perilloux had as much potential as any QB here that I'd seen for a very long time...maybe Jennings is that guy (without the getting in trouble part).

Bull. I could have thrown that last touchdown. That was a total defensive break down. No way a receiver should be that open with just a few ticks on the clock and LSU needing a TD to win. Pitiful, simply poor D backfield coaching.

Of course you could.

Yes.

Jennings was expected to be very good, and Brandon Harris (early enrollee '14) is expected to be as good as Jennings. He'll challenge for the QB spot in the future.

There is one more hire that could make this team better on O.

Yes-We've heard a lot of really good things about him. Those who've seen him practice have said that he is a very special QB.

Starting next year, LSU might finally have the upper hand on you guys.

yes. we are known to be in love with the backup quarterback until he steps on the field. fortunately AJ was a boss yesterday. hopefully he will continue to work hard and improve. certainly like the way things started.

Out of high school he was a 4.0 student and a high recruit. He was hurt some by an injury his junior year recruiting wise. If he can maintain pocket presence and deliver an accurate ball, he will be great at LSU. He wasn't really a run first guy in high school and only used his scrambling ability when needed. If he can learn to progress through his reads and become an accurate passer (one of his deficiencies noted during the summer), he has a chance to be special. I think last night validated that he has that "it" factor to him. Having Cam tutor him gives LSU fans something to really look forward too.

The hype machine for AJ is going to be out of control now. Probably not as bad as the off-season before Mett started, but close.

I don't mean any ill towards aj and think he's already a way better player, but some people need to go read some rant threads from this time in 08. Jefferson was the truth at that time

The difference between having a Cam, as opposed to a Crowton, can't be overstated.

You couldn't do sh*t.

You still have to actually see the man break open and make the play (I've seen plenty of more experienced QBs blow easy TDs by severely overthrowing them or underthrowing them). It's not like there was any pressure on him or anything. I'm not saying he's the next best thing, but he looked good doing what he did.

Dude is a baller no doubt. Yesterday could be the start of quite a career for him.

. Agreed but I think Chief has certainly made some questionable coaching moves this season.
