The quietest Arena in college basketball for Kentucky game. Cool story bro

I went to Tennessee for four years, and made it to just about every home conference basketball game.

TBA is silent. It's really staggering how quiet a crowd of 20,000+ can be.

Keep telling yourself that.

And in any case, it's not like elite players have been his strong suit.

Aaron Craft(OSU - Him and Matta are likely the ones who turned us in)

I don't think it was just them.

But it's not exactly the dirtiest thing to happen in college basketball either.

It's not, and it is Pearl's violation. That's why I think we'll get less punishment if Pearl is gone. I'm not saying UT will get off the hook, but the sanctions won't be as severe.

Funny that jones got to.step in while pearl was suspended considering he was also involved in the violations. Pearl and hammy are gone

Can't really disagree with any of this. I wonder if Hamilton will be able to make the next hire.

Recruiting has been a strong suit for sure. Do you think marshall is going to coming in here and recruit better than Pearl has? You are clueless.

Is it recruiting or coaching? Because it's sure as hell not both.

TBA was one of the toughest places to win during that time. The atmosphere had alot to do with it.

Did Jones lie to the NCAA?

He may have been at the BBQ, and in that way he was a part of the infractions.

I may be wrong, but I've failed to read anything regarding Jones explicitly lying to the NCAA.

The good basketball teams had a lot to do with it. Chris Loften bailing us out of our poor half court possession by making rediculous shots, had even more to do with it.

TBA can get loud after a dunk, or a steal, or a big shot. But for the majority of the game it's silent.

So he turned a secondary violation into a major violation by lying? What a dumb arse.

That doesn't mean most successful, and it doesn't mean that his recruiting has been great.

You must be specifically referring to the recruiting rankings. You can't be referring to the actual players.

His recruiting rankings have been good, the results haven't. Much of his success has come on the backs of the lower rated players and walk ons.

Duke Crews - 5 * bust
Ramar Smith - 5 * bust

Both of these guys had 5 star talent, but were eventually kicked out of school.

Hopson is the only top 10 player from his recruiting class not playing in the NBA. He's not the problem this year though.

Since Pearl's first recruiting class in 2006 we've had.

JP Prince - 5*
Ramar Smith - 5*
Duke Crews - 5*
Scotty Hopson - 5*
Tobias Harris - 5*

Wayne Chism - 4*
Tyler Smith - 4*
Jordan McRae - 4*
Cam Tatum - 4*
Phillip Jurick - 4*
Renaldo Woolridge - 4*
Kenny Hall - 4*

with two more 4 stars committed next year.
