The ruling from the NCAA on Pearlfest 2010 is due this week.
What are you hearing? I'm hearing Pearl is out minimum of a year from coaching along with post season bans for basketball.

Though if you're looking for exciting NCAA news, they're going to punish UConn's basketball team today for a LOI that was issued over 2 years ago.

The letter needs to get here soon. Whether we fire him or not, Pearl won't be coaching next year. I think he'll be fired, though.

I'd assume the football thing would be coming out, too. Although those issues aren't supposed to be as severe, I'm honestly more concerned about that.

It would be the 2nd smartest move our basketball program has ever made. The smartest was hiring him to begin with. Whatever sanctions he gets will pass. Then he will go right on building this program into a monster. He is a proven winner, anyone we could get to replace him would be an unknown.

I don't understand why peeople are still assuming we're getting punished this week.
