LSU really thinks they can talk that kind of smack to the greatest college football program of all time?
Just did.

Nah. Clemson and Ohio State were great teams. Bama just kind of sucked. LSU beat them by more than the scoreboard showed.

Yeah. Bama needed multiple 4th down conversions along with a punt return TD and a broken defensive play (the check with me shenanigans) to stay in it. LSU hung 30+ in the first half. Bama never played with the ability to go ahead the entire game once LSU scored. The Auburn and Florida games were much closer, and comparatively, more nerve racking from an LSU POV.

Ok, I’m a little confused by this:
It was a 5 point LSU win so I’m not exactly following there. What am I missing? Not to mention Bama did have the ball when they were less than 7 points behind LSU. This was first half when Bama had the ball in a 19-13 game. That seems to show Bama did play within a td once LSU scored.
That’s part of the game. Bama capitalized on those like LSU capitalized on Bama miscues (Int, botched punt, Tua’s fumble at the goal line area when Bama has marched down the field on the game’s opening drive). I’m not sure why you want to take things those away. I could just as easily say LSU needed Bama miscues to score too. Take those away and it’s still a close game or a Bama victory. But why do that? Doesn’t make sense to me. It’s all part of the game and each team capitalized on the opportunities presented
I take a look at the stats: lsu slight lead in total yards. Bama has the lead in passing yards. LSU had the lead in rushing. Similar number of first downs. Similar time of possession. Bama has one turnover more than LSU. The stats on this game align with what you think the score would be and was. I wish Bama could have gotten one more defensive stop in the 4th, but CEH was a freaking beast and we couldn’t stop him.
Bama fell in a huge hole and had to come back. So yeah they went for it on 4th downs. But, that’s part of the game; LSU couldn’t stop those conversions. Why discount that? Also LSU did not score in the 3rd quarter and the game was very competitive in through out the 4th quarter. I’m not seeing a dominating performance that doesn’t reflect in the score. I’m seeing a score that reflects the stats. Not discounting or downplaying LSU’s win number any means. But having watched the whole game and seeing the stats, that doesn’t seem to pan out with the narrative I read.
As far as the LSU perspective, I seem to remember the game thread and in that 4th quarter lots of LSU fans had racked nerves.

We are going to see if O can maintain excellence like all the great HC’s do. Having a great season is hard as hell but doing it repeatedly is very rare. I’m
not saying he can’t he is recruiting well enough to do just that. If he doesn’t maintain this streak it won’t be because LSU lacks talent.

Bryant gets 6 NC’s any program would claim his 6 I defy you to say your team wouldn’t. Give Stallings his one 92 NC. Give Saban his five NC’s. Every one of you would recognize those 12 claimed NC’s. That’s still pretty respectable compared to 2003, 2007, and 2019. The LSU - Bama series has gotten so nasty that both sides can’t respect each other’s success. That’s too bad.

O wasn’t really left with a ton when he got here. There were players, sure, but there was also a program that had stagnated and couldn’t win against Bama to save its life.
Everything we saw this year was something he had put together and created. I have faith he can do it again, because he’s proven he can do it. That said, 2020 is going to be a rebuild year, and I expect to lose to Bama and probably one of either Florida or Auburn, and that’s okay.

Unfortunately, you’re right. Some do better than others respecting them, but in large, these fan bases just want to troll each other now.

The Johnny Football force is getting stronger with this one. The cigar... the arrogance... I'm sure the meth is coming...

Pretty shitty for Burrow to leave all this bulletin board material for Bama when he doesn't have to face them.

Worst Bama team in a decade. Lowest overall college football has been down in at least 8 years. And still you guys could only beat us because we fielded a gimped QB. You guys won a championship* though, i guess. Congrats.

He didn’t say it about Alabama specifically. He meant it about every team all season through game prep the players did and how the coaches helped them

You would think that with all the trials and tribulations he's gone through during his college career, he'd have become more humble and respectful. That crap he said about the OBJ thing said a lot about him, too.
