In this day and age? He was hyped hard but failed to live up to the perhaps unrealistic expectations when he got his brief chance. He probably thinks he didn't get enough time and can be a starter somewhere else, especially considering the new kid is the supposed next best thing.
likewise, I won't be surprised if Milroe transfers from Alabama if Ty Simpson plays well in the spring. Substitute quarterback depth charts probably won't ever look like they did before the new transfer rule.

Yeah, there are a few different things going on there. New OC, not 100% confident in Brennan and/or Nuss, need depth, etc.
Brennan has been a loyal tiger, and I'd love to see him have a strong season, but I hope there's a strong competition.
