Happy for him. Great person aside from football as well. He earned it by working hard through some tough times (like bekmg benched by Bama). Most would have never recovered from that but he transferred to OU and the rest is history. Also, his agent is an OU alumni, she works for Klutch and repped his contract.
Yet, another paid political advertisement for the sooners. He played a lot of winning football for BAMA and he played very well. You should google YouTube more, you might learn something.

What the hell does that have to do with him making fun of an Oklahoma QB?

Hurts wouldn't be near the player he is today if not for his time at OU, and with Riley specifically. He developed more in a year there as a passer than he did his whole time at Bama. Not fun to say but it is accurate.

Then you should YouTube as well. Hurts was throwing to guys so wide open in the Big 12 it was not about timing and small windows and he never saw the athleticism and talent of the SEC defenses.
And the guy you are describing never showed up in Philadelphia. More mythology. His first and second years had not convinced anyone in the Eagle's front office they had a franchise QB, much less the highest-paid guy in the NFL. Hurt's improved dramatically with his throwing in the last season. That is not that big of a sample size. If you think Jalen Hurts looked like this guy in year one or two of his NFL career, then Google YouTube.
Philadephia is just as surprised and happy and amazed with his improvement in passing the ball as any Tide fan. They talked endlessly about it all season on their post-shows. Throwing in the NFL and these small windows has never been a Jalen Hurt's skill set until this year.

My main point was last fall as he did better and better a huge contingent of Bama fans came out of closet to claim him as “their” qb. Before that it was mostly crickets. All the sudden Hurts does great only then did they lay this claim.
Bama doesn’t need to stoop to those levels they have plenty of players to brag on. But quite a few (not all, some kept their respect) jumped on the Hurts bandwagon.
I hate to even say it but aTm fans have never claimed Kyler Murray in the same way.
Its all trivial but when Bama benched Hurts he never played another down for them.
Also, when your other transferred players go elsewhere and don’t do good, do you beat your chest and brag about them? Nope. Only Hurts.

I love how you didn't really address what I said at all, and just told me to "Google Youtube"
Don't I have to Bing Google first, boomer?

More mythology. BAMA fans watched Jalen throw against legit defenses in the SEC for 3 years. He was built by BAMA and when he left he was and still is one of the most beloved players because of the way he conducted himself. Google 2018, SEC championship game and that is the guy we have lasting memories of, in his 3rd season. Google 2016 and his last drive in the championship game against Clemson and when he came off the field for the last time as a true freshman BAMA had the lead. Ask me how we could have done in that game if coach Saban didn't fire Jalen's OC a week before the NC game. Who in the hell does that? Google 2017 Miss State and watch him singlehandedly bring us back from the dead against the dogs on the road all night and finally throw a TD-winning pass to DeVonta Smith for the dramatic win with time running out.
Jalen could always throw and he was always a winner at BAMA. But he didn't like tight windows and he wasn't instinctive. He didn't like to make mistakes and he held the ball way too long. He trusted his legs too quickly, often giving up on secondary receivers downfield coming open. When he got to Philadephia he didn't like small windows and wasn't as instinctive as now. His long ball is off the charts these days. FACT.

Oh frick. I think Jalen is a solid QB, but to make him the highest paid player already is a bit of a reach.

He just had a pretty good season but dayum. I don’t know. Seems like Brady, Montana, Mahomes type level stuff.
Good for him though.

Name your top 5 then. Ahead of AJ IMO, in no particular order
Diggs
Chase
Jefferson
Hopkins
Kupp
Tyreek
I’d put him top 7-10

When teams keep paying players like this, It makes it hard To afford going to a game.

$179MM guaranteed
Congrats Eagles. You paid him $1 million last year. Now you owe him, minimum, $36 million for the next five.
Now fire $35 million off the roster. Then show us how good you are.
Enjoy today. Because you'll be the Dak Prescott in a year - hearing about how you over-paid and screwed the franchise.

Dude is a genuinely great person. Deserves the cash.
Bama molded him, OU let him loose, but he earned it all.
