This is complete BS. There is zero chance he failed a concussion protocol and was allowed to play, much less forced to play.

You are correct. There was never a concussion.

I've said for 3 years that Hurd does not fit this offense and part of the blame goes to Butch for not adjusting his offense to fit his players' strengths. Hurd is still a fricking bitch for his antics since the Georgia game tho.

Hurd doesn't fit any offense, at least not as a tailback.

He's too big and not fast enough or laterally quick enough to play in the spread option.

He's not tough or physical enough to run in a pro-style or I-form offense.

Simply put, he's too big to play small but too soft to play big.

One thing he does do well is catch the ball and operate as a downfield receiver out of the backfield. He'd be a good pass catching tight end in a spread system or a good option as a big receiver.

Eh, butch has run the same offense his entire career. If Hurd didn't like that offense he should have committed elsewhere.

Please find a post from me ever saying Hurd is a heisman candidate. He's not even been the best running back on this team the past two seasons

Hurd was absolutely the best back on their team last year. The overreaction of this board is so hysterical sometimes.

Kamara was more efficient with less carries and has been more efficient with much more usage when Hurd was out.

Third string back John Kelly has been far more effective than Hurd this season as well. Hurd had 8 carries for 16 yards against SCe Saturday. Kelly, in the same offense running against the same defense, had 14 for 94.

What does any of that have to do with last year? Having a higher YPC does not = better

Based on what? Just because he had a higher YPC does not make him better.

Last year was debatable. Kamara was more effective in terms of ypc and far more explosive. Hurd was more effective as a power runner (when you needed 3-4 tough yards he was pretty automatic when it came to getting them). They complemented one another well. This year Hurd was 3rd at best behind both Kamara and Kelly. He hasn't given a damn all season and it's shown.
