I thought this thread was going to be about insurance.

That’s crazy. What changed?

IYAM, he got better. He also starting getting better protection.
From people on the inside, we were in desperate need of more leadership from our veteran players and that started happening vs. UF.

Before someone says this is because of schedule,
I’m the first six games, we played Austin Peay, SCAR, MTSU, Vandy, UT, Mizzou,
Last six: UF, UK, Auburn, LSU, UMASS, GT

Nothing like 3rd and Grantham to get a QB's confidence up

To me, he seemed to be thinking too much early in the season. He was holding on to the ball way too long and was often late delivering the ball. After the bye week he's been trusting his pre snap reads and cutting it loose. He's also gained confidence in the back shoulder/fade throws to Holloman and Ridley on the outside which is one of his best throws.

Fromm is a dude. He'll make some plays Saturday. Georgia's offense with him, those receivers and backs is really scary.

He is as good at those as anyone I've seen in a long time, and the crazy thing was he was great at it last year as a 18 year old.

Really think the LSU game was a blessing in disguise...

Gary Danielson said last season that Fromm may be the best he's ever seen in terms of accuracy on throws outside the numbers. He's pinpoint on the 15-yard out route.

He makes those as effortlessly as most guys throw slants or stop routes. And that is not an easy throw.

Crazy thing about Fromm is when you watch him, I feel like I can tell if it’s going to be a complete pass before he even throws it just based on how he moves in the pocket.
It’s kind of weird but I feel like I will know what happen before he throws the ball.

The difference in these two teams from what I've seen is Tua and Quennen. For all the hype of your WRs, Tua would be doing the same thing with ours.
Except for special teams, everything you've got will likely be the best we've seen from an opposing team.
For you:
Our QB, RBs, TEs, Oline, WRs, and DBs will be the best you've seen. The front seven is what will have to step up for us compared to what they've been the whole season.
On a downer note, they rank 99th in sacks this year nationally.
On a positive, they have gotten half of their sacks this past month and rank 36th for the month. Still not great but moving in the right direction.

Think LSU has better overall DBs, we definitely have more depth

They haven't from a performance standpoint. Listened to a couple of commentators point this out. They have been much more susceptible to giving up the big play. And that's with the Bama game taken out of the stats. And I'd argue we've faced better QBs than they have, at least from a passing standpoint if we're arguing what they did outside the Bama game.

Schedule. How many 3rd downs in the first 6 games?

quote:Last year he feasted on the RPO. He was good at the pre-snap read and could hit an open receiver for a good chunk of yards on that.

This season he has been trying to mature as a QB and go through his progressions. He does a lot pre-snap but he added that extra complexity which I think made him a bit slower and more hesitant to trust his read and let it rip. I'd guess that he's gotten the hang of it now and is more successful as the result.
