Jaime Garcia's unbelievably boneheaded full retard play in the 2nd inning of the 2nd game against Chicago jinxed the Cards, Mizzou, and even other teams such as Kansas State and Rutgers.

First Garcia fricked the Cards. After his mindblowingly stupid 2nd inning epic fail, I said to my father inlaw, "I have a bad feeling that Jaime Garcia just jinxed the entire day. I hope he didn't just jinx Mizzou."

Well, sure enough his bad mojo seeped over into the Mizzou game and cursed our offense to produce no offense against Florida. After the Mizzou game I said to myself, "fricking Jaime Garcia."

Then the curse seeped into the next game I watched, K-State vs. TCU. When it looked like K-State would win...TCU scored a last minute TD. If the Cards and Mizzou couldn't win that day, I at least wanted to see old man Snyder pull off the HUGE upset against TCU. But that didn't happen. I shook my head and said, "I swear, Jaime Garcia screwed up this entire day!"

Then I switched to Rutgers/Michigan State and noticed they were tied. Rutgers appeared like they might pull out a HUGE upset. Then Michigan State scored but left enough time for Rutgers to tie it back up. I thought, "I hope at least one team I root for today will win, but it probably won't happen cuz of fricking Jaime Garcia."

With less than a minute remaining, the Rutgers QB was successfully driving down the field. And then, before anyone could figure out what had happened, the Rutgers QB kneeled the ball on 4th down thinking it was only 3rd down and BOOM...game over.

The Rutgers QB ended the night making as big of a boneheaded play as Jaime Garcia and I knew without a doubt that Jaime Garcia had legitimately cursed the day.

I went to bed and the last words I said were, "fricking Jaime Garcia...ugh."

ETA: And now Florida's QB is suspended for the season and the Royals just tied the game against the Astros on an infield error.

shite has been weird since Jaime blundered early last Saturday afternoon.

Cardinals fans are one of the few fan bases who regularly experience MLB in October, so I will give you a pass.

Jaime Garcia also made the 2 best defensive plays of the game and saved at least 2 more runs
I'm a cubs fan and I can recognize that

He fricked up big time, plain and simple. 5 unearned runs. All he had to do was throw to first base or underarm a lobbed pass to home and the Cards win that game.

He frick up.

Dude, that was early in the game. A thousand different scenarios could have have happened after that. That's the reason you play a full 9 innings. Anything can happen.
No one play or players loses a game.
What about all the batters from st. Louis that came to bat after that and didn't score? What about the 2 or 3 runs he saved with diving/sliding off hip plays? Too many what ifs in baseball to say one guy lost it

Wow. Is Jaime Garcia the reason Sark just got fired?

Holy shite! I didn't even think about that. First, Garcia fricked shite up on Saturday afternoon and since then almost the entire sports landscape has been in disarray.

Think about it: Chubb's injury, Florida's QB suspended, Sark fired...what's next?

Saban to USC?
