I wish the kid nothing but the best.
Venables definitely did not set this kid up for success, especially with not having a QB coach for more than half the season. Just mind blowing and epic failure on Venables.
Hopefully Arnold is coached more to better hang on to the football, the kid was a fumble machine waiting to happen.

Freeze finally got a QB. Hard to play QB with a horrible O line and no healthy WR. Will be interesting to see how he plays next year. Auburn will give him more around him than he has at OU.

If nothing else, it'll be interesting to see what he can do with an OL who can figure out who to block

Yup, it was a disaster. Jackson has a huge upside and I understand the gamble for Auburn. Problem is, some players can’t shake a bad season regardless of the reasons - and he had some bad play. He lost that Mizzou game with the fumble.
When he makes those mistakes early in season will he be able to shake them off? He was very shy about making passes in tight windows due to his turnovers. He went to the other extreme, not attempting passes that were there.
He was a running back for most of his childhood so thats an instinct to run when it gets tight in the pocket. And he’s a good runner. Can be good but also a curse.
And our fired OC tried to make him a Heisman passer going pass happy to start games when we had no one to throw to - when he should have went run first to start games and let JA get into the flow.
One thing about OU, we have the top run defense in the SEC, so when he visits OU on 20 Sep he will need to throw to win. If not and with how fumble prone he is, it could be a long day.
I wish him luck other than our game. He never quit once benched, and worked hard to get his job back. But the biggest worry is if he is too broken to overcome a bad year (regardless the reasons why)?
