Well the actual rules state we have to have a certain number of scholarship players available. We were already at like 70 guys instead of the usual 85. If we lose a couple dozen to COVID, we cannot play according to rules.
But the coaches still could be fine and a bunch of players still could be fine so the recruits can still come and hang out with negative test people.
So you're just wrong.

Seriously, you cannot play a football game the entire World knows that you will lose. But you can find the time and effort to host some recruits
