Well, that's behavior unbecoming of a megachurch youth pastor.

What are you talking about? I don’t remember one person saying Quin needed to go other than the administrators. Drink may be the first football we’ve had that can be competitive long term. Pinkle did well with lower rated talent a few times but expectations were always far lower. We’re 6-2 FFS. Stop bitching. No shite we don’t have depth. We’re Mizzou.

I mean I heard the whistle before the hit in that video. I don't mind a coach sticking up for his players.

Based on the fact he did the things he needed to do to be competitive in the modern era before most blue bloods did. This includes making sure NIL is addressed properly and getting state laws changed to benefit the team. Like it or not, football itself is second to all this now. It always has been also but now it’s out in the open.

I like Drink. I appreciate what he's done after Odom struggled in the wake of Pinkel's sudden retirement/the on-campus "protests" that damn near sunk the ship entirely. But Drink does stand in stark contrast to Gary Pinkel. Coach Pinkel found success at Mizzou and raised that program from the dead because he was able to expertly identify under-valued recruits, develop them, and he was a quiet, humble leader. Sure, NIL has changed the game, but I do think Drink would do well to take some notes from the pages of Pinkel's media playbook. Being boring, humble, and a bit stern is not a bad thing sometimes when you are leading a program like Mizzou. The highs can be high, but lows can be far lower than fans of Georgia or Alabama can possibly fathom.

I honestly don't mind Mizzou, but Drink seems like a douchebag.
If we were shopping for a smug douchebag former South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier might fit in. I'm sure he'd never quit on his team.

Yup, he’s one of those megachurch types. More motivational speaker than football coach. Filled with sanctimonious happy talk until things don’t go his way. Obnoxious.

I’m not hearing good things about Drink & the boosters. He may not be back next year.

Right. He's trying to LARP as a cool guy. He acted like a complete arse the entire game. Not sure if he thinks it's funny or what but it comes off cringe af.

He’s a Malzahn disciple who never played college ball. What do you expect?

He must have swallowed it when Cook got hit. He spent the rest the game & after the game raging on some non-existent conspirqcy between Bama coaches & refs even though Bama had 10 penalties.
Plus he's yelling frick you at Kalen Deboer is a choir boy compared to most SEC coaches. The idea he put a bounty out on Cook is retarded & Drink is the only person autistic enough to believe this.

Terrible take. I know Pinkel never got past the Championship games but that's as close to a perfect Mizzou coach we've had. Pinkel never talked shite, and was always modest about where the program was.
Pinkel was the perfect coach for Mizzou. Drink recruits better, but GP developed better (especially QBs) and was a much better game day coach.

Pinkle had maybe two big wins in 15 years. One was Kansas.he’s also a complete arse IRL unlike Drink. Don’t believe personas. They’re fake.

Saban and Pinkel went way back. Saban seemed to respect him on a high level.

Yup they have the exact same personality or lack thereof. At least Saban accomplished enough to ignore almost everyone. Pinkle just got off on thinking he was important.
