Harry, since you brought up Pat Dye I’ll tell you something that happened to Coach Dye and me.
I was sitting on the couch when the door bell rang. It was Coach Dye. He had run out of gas right at my drive and saw my lights were on and hoped someone would help him.
I told him I had a 5 gallon can full of gas and he was welcome to it. We went to my shop out back and picked up the can and got in my pickup and off we went. His ford pickup was less than a 1/4 mile from my driveway. I pulled in behind him and grabbed the can and started filling his truck. He went to the driver’s door and opened it. The dome light came on and guess who was his passenger? It was Mildred from the Finebaum show. He saw that I recognized her and he was embarrassed. I told him I would not tell his secret. No charge on the gas and for him to stop by anytime.
Harry it’s good to see you posting. Hope you and the family are doing well. Tell Rohan I said hi if you see him.
