It's clear why the OP chose 10 years. Without 2006 & 2007, Arkansas isn't even in the discussion.
5 years is too short of a time. Churning out the best running backs for a decade gives you a stronger claim to RBU than churning out the best backs for 5 years.
10 years is long enough to reward consistency over time, while also being short enough to be relevant to today's game.

You're making arky look bad. Awesome point that y'all had to play better defenses. UGA & Gumps pick this crown.

So, Alabama is RBU then?

More accomplishments then the history of Arkansas football

All time SEC rushing leaders:
1. Herschel Walker 5259 Georgia
2. Darren McFadden* 4590 Arkansas
3. Kevin Faulk 4557 Louisiana State
4. Bo Jackson 4303 Auburn
5. Errict Rhett 4163 Florida
6. Dalton Hilliard 4050 Louisiana State
7. Charles Alexander 4035 Louisiana State
8. Anthony Dixon* 3994 Mississippi State
9. Emmitt Smith 3928 Florida
10. Sonny Collins 3835 Kentucky
LSU 3
Fla 2
Ga, Ark, Aub, Miss St, Ky 1 each
Looks like LSU is RBU to me. Also LF7 will likely knock Collins down to 11 and LSU will have 4 of the 10 all-time rushing leaders.
Weird...not one Bama RB in there

Nah, Arkansas' best 10 rushing seasons had a higher YPC than Bama's. Each of those 10 Arkansas rushing seasons went for over 1,000 yards, so it's not like the YPC is inflated by including scat backs who average 7 carries a game.

Damn, so LSU is RBU?

In all the years of being a conference, the SEC had only produced one running back that had run for a thousand yards in each of his first three seasons in the SEC.
Arkansas has produced two since 2005.
Congrats I guess. We could have done that too, we just have a different NFL running back in every class so they don't get to play full time until their Junior year.

So many mouths to feed. Don't have to run one players into the ground over the course of their career.

Maybe because our backs only play 1 full year because there are 2 NFL backs ahead of them?
Congrats on career numbers, our guys don't get to build those up because they start out behind 2 NFL backs, then split time with 1 NFL back then get 1 full year all their own (while splitting it with a young back who will be an NFL back).

- 10 seasons
- 2 Heisman Trophys
- 2 Doak Walker Awards
- 3 1st Team All-Americans
- 6 1st Team All-SEC
- 2 2nd Team All-SEC
- 4 1st Team All-SEC Freshmen
- 7 running backs drafted (9 if you include Drake and Henry)

Have you even seen what Arky brings to the table with YPC?
I didn't think so.

I get it. You have to rely on awards determined by others's opinions since you can't win on the actual stats.

- Coffee started for 1 season, splitting carries with Ingram
- Ingram started for 2 seasons, splitting carries with Richardson his 2nd
- Richardson started for 1 season
- Yeldon started for 2 seasons, splitting carries with Henry his 2nd
- Henry started for 1 season
So, yea, those guys aren't gonna be on any all-time yardage lists.

And every single RB we've had since 2008 has received All-Conference honors. 7 consecutive Bama RBs have made the cover of Sports Illustrated.
Which is still something to be proud of

George, you seem upset that the worldwide leader in sport listed Arkansas as RBU and Alabama as #2.
Its okay, it was voted on just like your silly awards listed for your individual players.
