Well, my threads about this keep getting whacked, but let me try again. For several reasons saban isn't long at bama. He's headed to penn state.

The guy is only human. I do worry about the energy though. The pace/intensity he works at cannot be healthy or easy to maintain.

That's right. I promise you that it won't go to overtime next year in TS.
By this time next year, all of the talking heads will be talking back-to-back NCs for The Hat and LSU.
Required 'Book it'.

I like how every body has wrote us off for 2 years. In what way will we not be in the same boat next year as LSU is this year.
RB by committee.
The tough schedule year.
A good OOC kickoff game.
QB with a year under his belt.
A RR type receiver in Carter.
O line gets everybody back.
Lose a couple of apparently over rated D players.
Not gonna be terribly young and lots of Exp in every area.
I think the LSu Bama game will be of the same magnitude next year. And its will be in BDS West.

I'm seriously thinking of changing my awesome sig to this.
ETA: Change your fricking team affiliation to Alabama.

I lost a bet you will just have to deduce who I pull for.

Saban is indeed second best to Les Miles with each passing year. I was surprised that Nick is not coaching well at game time. And I was gladly shocked that Alabama did not have a good kicker to kick FG. That is also becoming out recruited

Love Saban all you want. He has been a great recruiter but as for a big game day coach, he has many big failures since he came to Alabama.
Lots of failures (big games too) as well as a few big wins..
I think he is a much better recruiter than a big game coach.

He's basically on a job interview every week. His dream job just popped open, and he's looking to duck out before the sharks really start to circle.

I really get the feeling that a lot of you gumps are starting to realize that Saban does not walk on water. He has flaws just as any coach does.

Actually the whole problem with SOME Bama fans(the delusional ones) is they believed with all their heart that when Saban was hired Bama was going to be dominating college football again. While Bama is a great program this isn't the 70's when they were the only great program. I am not sure when they are going to understand this.
Saban is a great coach but just like any coach has his tendencies and a few are special teams(Lost LSU) and being to conservative(Lost Auburn).

Miles players talk shiet before the game and walk the talk
Sabans player talk shiet after the loss
Totally different coaching philosophies
I'd say the statue was pre-mature

Saban is the reason for the talent, with regards to recruiting and offseason workouts. However, for whatever the reason we've lost 4 games the past two years (and still some to play this year) that all could have been won with smarter decision making, motivation, whatever
Are you serious? These aren't the days of the bear anymore, college football is much more competitive now. The most anyone can expect from their coach is to be in yearly competition of the SEC title, or SEC West title cause SEC West is tough as shite. And what do ya know? Miles and Saban are in the SEC West hunt every year - with the occasional fluke Auburn team.
You can't win it all every year, you Bama fans need to grasp that.
If your program is at 10+ wins per season, you're in damn good shape.
