Didn't they play together at Georgia?

Sounds like Saban hyping Champ while he was at Florida. The truth is he’s just a really good DC. He’s not HC material and more than likely never will be.

Kirby redshirted during Will's senior year, but they were later assistants on the same staff at Valdosta State and LSU.

Yes, this is Kirby looking out for his boy. It is also why neither of them will ever run up the score on the other.

Muschamp helped get Kirby his first coaching job, Kirby slept on his couch in Valdosta for a while.

Smart wants to keep USCe as a non threat. So not a bad idea. Clearly it isn't going to work with Muschamp. I mean the guy failed at UF...how was he going to succeed at USCE? Even Spurrier couldn't win an SEC title there for Pete's sake.

We do a good enough job of that ourselves.

Did you know that Boom won more games in his first 3 years at South Carolina than Mullen did at MSU?

So, the guy who failed at UF essentially had the same record at his other SEC job as the guy who's currently at UF.

In two years they’ll replace Mullen and still blame Muschamp for their shortcomings. They need someone to blame, and I get that.
