I don't see how anyone can think Franks is a good qb?
Did you not watch him play?

A 63% completion rate with 3 TDs and 2 INTs isn't really "awful" to me but maybe I'm used to watching Ben Hicks and Nick Starkel try to play quarterback.

Read the fine print on that, he had a 66 yard screen pass taken for a TD to really make things look better than they were.

quote:

He went 17-for-27 with a pair of touchdowns and interceptions on the day, but those stats only tell half the story and are heavily buoyed by wide receiver Kadarius Toney’s long catch and run on a screen. Making three people miss on his way to the end zone on 1st-and-10 with 7:52 left in the opening quarter, Toney accounted for 66 of Franks’ yardage on the night on that play alone. That was a theme for the game, with 169 of his 254 yards coming by his receivers after the catch.

So on 27 passes he threw for 85 air yards. That's...really really low.

Anyone who watched that game saw how bad Franks was, and that was after coming in to 2019 witgh some hype because he "finished" the 2018 season on a better note than earlier in the season. It was a truly terrible game per PFF gradings go.

This isn't some random guy from the Pac 12 with that none of us know about - we've all seen Franks play

And more so than that, he is a cancer to a team.

I am hoping we land Franks because if we beat an SEC team next year not only do they have to live with being our slump busters but they will also suffer through losing to the Alpaca. Let Alpacamania run wild!
