Very cool, LSU. I honestly didn't realize how many DB's you had in the NFL.
Out of curiosity, do you know how many you've had historically?

I'm not trying to just side with my own team but LSU's history for good DB's far surpasses that of Ohio State

what does that translate to in the college game? or is the point of college football to get the players who can be pros? It's not like LSU is coaching them up and making them better, they are just already talented when they get there

And thats where you are wrong champ. I assure you Tredavious White is 10x better than he was when he first got to LSU

Exactly. You know you are an incredible DB when your name is rarely called on gameday.

Kelvin Toliver got next. It's gonna be fun watching Stevens play for you guys too.

I agree with you. If LSU was so good at developing players why aren't more of their players first or second round picks? It seems more likely that playing at LSU holds some of them back until they get to the NFL where they're allowed to reach their full potential.

How many first rounders actually play to up to where they were drafted? I'll go out on a limb and say Jamal Adams may be the only one in that top 10 that does from this class.
But sure, I'll play this game. If LSU players are not being developed, that means these guys are NFL ready out of highschool. Seeing as bama blows everyone out of the water in recruiting, I guess they don't get developed either. Because all their players should be NFL ready too.

That's not a homer pick or anything.
Last year almost all the top 10 did a great job as rookies.
Wentz, Elliott, Bosa, Apple, Stanley, Conklin, Apple, and Floyd all played well last year.

I just proved that OSU is over the past 25 years which is a larger sample size than yours...so you're wrong?
I hate to break this to you. But stats, number of awards, players currently or historically in the NFL, etc., are not what makes LSU DBU. LSU, and no other college, is "DBU" because that is what recruits call us. No recruits think of OSU as DBU.
An example:
Anthony Cook 5 star DB recruit talks about DBU
quote:
Cook is the nation’s No. 2 cornerback and No. 10 overall prospect in the 2018 recruiting class, per the 247Sports composite rankings. He visited a bevy of big-time college campuses this spring, including Ohio State, Texas and Clemson, before stopping in Baton Rouge last weekend for the Tigers’ spring game.
quote:
That visit definitely put them up there. It sealed the deal,” Cook said. “It made me realize that LSU is every bit of what people said LSU is. They’re ‘DBU,’ and I feel like being a defensive back you can’t leave LSU out of your top schools because of the success they’ve had. When I got there, it sealed the deal — no ifs, ands or buts.
quote:
My first time out there, it was amazing. It was one of the top visits I’ve taken in my whole high school career. The culture at LSU, seeing how guys operate around there, the standards, ‘DBU’ and the culture of ‘DBU’ … LSU is ‘DBU’ and the standard they hold you to was amazing to be around.
These kinds of quotes happen all the time, even from guys who aren't coming. All the good DB recruits want their "DBU" offers. They are looking for that LSU letter, not the OSU one.

Seriously. You must not follow recruiting.
BTW, those eight 3* are quite the impressive group.

I am not talking about overall recruiting like you seem to be. DBs absolutely value an LSU offer over an OSU one.

Over the summer most of those will get a 4th. But so you know LSU kinda knows a little about evaluating DBs whether they have "stars" or not. Honey Badger, and I think Mo Claiborne were 3 star guys for example.
