But A&M,,, one good year does not grant you a pass on the next season. See Auburn 2011, 2012. Don't get too full of it. I mean,,, Auburn had the best player in college football in 2010 and won it all... Y'all had the best player last year and finished 3rd in the sec west.

Unlike Bama, we didn't get a charmin soft East draw. Swap Florida for Tenn and we're playing in the SEC championship while you all sit at home and watch.

talk to us about depth when you have had the #1 recruiting class 5 of the last 6 years and when a top 5 finish is a down year for you.

Yeah it did you a lot of good when our team with only 70 scholarship players came to town.

There are at least 5 or 6 SEC teams that would have skulldrug Notre Dame so we are in no sense of the word in awe of Bama.

The perfect storm for aTm last yr

Besides how was PF supposed to know Sumlin had the white Mike Vick on his roster

This yr will be different Kirby & Saban will put on a clinic on how to beat aTm this yr, a wk off and a revenge factor will play huge roles

I will say this: if anyone will come up with a blueprint on how to shut down A&M (shut up, LSU ), it'll be Bama.

If Saban can't, WOE unto the rest of the nation.

I can understand some of the Bama angst over last year.

Having the newbie Aggies knock you from the undefeated in BDS must have been somewhat like coming home and finding your wife blowing the gardner.

No angst here! Johnny football was simply too much for bama in the early going.

To bad A&M could not pull out another couple of wins and win a championship..

I hear that guy is good at the defenses. Maybe I should tweet at him and see if he can give me some tips to fix my abysmal NCAA 14 defense.

Can't hurt.

Sumlin's advice to me was to just hold down the "Y" button after every play

Sumlin never had a great defense at Houston.

Didn't have one last year at TAMU, 57th nationally in Total Defense. Not many high octane Offense's with average Defenses win Natty's. AU won in 2010, but Chizik was a Defensive coach and their Defense was just good enough to win their close, low scoring games. How well would Cam have done in 2011 if he had come back? Probably pretty well, but not like 2010.

Well, you switched form talking about what happened to that Houston team in 2010 to something else. So, you aren't arguing my point that what happened to Houston in 2010 had more to do with turnover margin than defense?

It is true that A&M's defense was thin at times, especially during the La Tech game., but they pitched a shutout in the 1st quarter v. Bama and that is all they needed. Bama will win in CS this year if the O shows up, but another 1Q shut out and it will not be as close as last year.

Sumlin's teams, national ranking turnover margin:

2008: 88th
2009 - 44th
2010 - 88th
2011 - 4th
2012 - 86th

Median = 86th.

I don't bet,but if I did I would bet Bama scores 35+ points.
I don't think A&M can.
Everything points to Bama's O being very hard to stop.
But then again it is JFF at Qb.
