To bring some actual facts to this thread... Johnson said after the game Skenes would have been capped at 30 pitches, and only to be used in a high leverage case... Which obviously never came up. In other words, our coach agreed with the OP.

not calling myself a hater here, but was pulling for UF because my girlfriend is an alum. I was hoping you would start Skenes just because one let him get his pitches and get on out, and that either would have gone well or really bad for LSU. short rest does affect pitchers.
