I know Gator football started in 1990.
And SEC football started in 1932.

You do know that football in the south was way before 1932? Way before AP polls started or had any merit behind them?

None of that changes the fact that the SIAA and SoCon didn't have official champions in football back then.

And Florida didn't win a national championship in the 90s.
Congrats on those SEC championships then.

And national titles were mythical until the BCS. Facts don't care about your feeling.

Hey. If you are willing to walk away from Spurrier's lone national championship so easily, good on you.
You are consistent.

I see that football started in 1998 according to you.

I see that building strawmen is your thing according to you.

How?

You don't like mythical championships.
That is your statement.
The first non mythical national championship is 1998.

Where is the strawman?

I never claimed that "football started in 1998." I only stated a fact that national titles were mythical before the BCS.

That isn't a strawman.
That is a joke pointed at gators.

"Football started in 1990"
Wow. I'm shocked if you've never heard that joke before.

What is funnier? The joke pointed at Gator fans? Or the fact that some Gators don't get the joke.

I don't understand why you're getting upset over facts.

You're cute.
The only facts I've added is that football in the south was around long before the SEC. Long before the AP poll was accepted as reliable journalism. And Long before the BCS.

And I don't see anyone in the thread who is upset. You seem happy to acknowledge a screen name 1995 that means nothing on the national landscape. No one is upset. I'm having fun at your inability to know when a joke is pointed your direction. Strawman. Lol

One reason I’ve always appreciated Georgia than most programs. It’s insane the level of talent both universities have had. I’ve always said despite the success, there could have been much more for both. Not taking anything away from Alabama, but LSU and Georgia should have some more hardware over those Alabama dominant years and even before, but Les and Richt also couldn’t produce to the level of talent that was in their arsenal. We can see now with Kirby, that Georgia is reaching it’s potential and many anticipate the same for LSU under Coach Kelly.
