Kentucky actually beat Alabama 4 times in one year (2 reg. season games, SEC tourney AND the NCAA tourney)...and the hell of it was we only lost five other games that year!

Three SEC teams were in that Sweet 16 in Atlanta in 1986.Kentucky had beaten LSU three times earlier but LSU won,59-57 in the Elite 8.
Starting with the 1986-7 season the NCAA changed bracketing where teams couldn't meet in the tournament until the regional finals--- until 2011.
