...to do what freshman Coach Shane Beamer has done in just two games this season.

SC has already matched last years win total. Hope ya'll took the over on the 3.5 wins.

Just beat Clempson so we can embarrass them twice in the same season

I am thinking the single rooster stare down would have been a better use here.

I don't know about that, but it was evident that a change was needed. Muschamp is an excellent DC, but apparently just can't handle the HC job.

Beamer is doing well for you guys. I hope it keeps up.

Your game against Troy is critical

I see wins against troy, Vanderbilt and maybe a surprise win against somebody else. But if they get those Beamer will have them headed in the right direction.

At this point if SC beat Tennessee would that really be a surprise? (not saying they will, just saying it's looking to be a closer game than many thought at the start of the year...)

Probably not. I don't know about Tennessee. I always think they are going to break through and be decent.
Personally, just from posters on this board...I hope SCarolina beats Tennessee badly. I like SCarolina posters as a whole, and dislike Tennessee posters as a whole.

Very possible. Maybe even Kentucky. SCarolina plays Kentucky right before Kentucky plays Florida, so I could see them catching Kentucky looking ahead. Ftr, I think Kentucky has a pretty darn good team.

That's what people keep telling me. Seems like he is only good when he has far superior talent.

Muschamp has been an "excellent DC" in almost 10years. He wasnt good at Auburn, and his defenses sucked at USC. I think even that aspect is overrated

He has elevated defenses everywhere he has been as a DC. I think, rightfully so, that he allowed his DC run the defenses at SCarolina, or if not had his attention split so much did a poor job with the defense there. Just guessing on my part, though.

Pretty sure he was at Auburn.

In 2006, Muschamp's first season at Auburn, the defense finished seventh among NCAA Division I-FBS teams in scoring defense, allowing only 21 touchdowns.[12] In 2007, Auburn led the SEC in scoring defense and finished in the top 10 in four defensive categories (ranking 7th nationally in pass efficiency[13] and 6th nationally in total defense,[14] passing defense[15] and scoring defense[16] among NCAA Division I-FBS teams).

Schematically, I think Muschamp is a defensive savant. However, I think his defenses can get to complex, especially on the back end. Quite often I think our guys often looked like deer in the headlights trying to remember all the nuisances of a Muschamp defense. As a result, they often ended up like waffle house toast. Burnt more often than not...
