Not much separates the two...arguments can be made for both.
Where I see a difference is the current eye test. Missouri just plays tougher and would destroy Ole Miss right now. It would have been the otherway around earlier in the season. Jmho

I like the Ole Miss QB over the Mizzou QB.
They have a higher floor (mizzou QB melts in big moments).
But outside of that, I give the edge to Mizzou everywhere else on the team.
Trenches
Receivers
Even running back.
Defense
Mizzou is a better team position by position (excluding QB).

Kind of agree. Ole Miss had a great year.

I hate Ole Miss but why?

What about h2h comparison vs LSU?

Kansas State, Kentucky (meh), and pummeled TN
So wins over 8-4 k state, 7-5 Kentucky and 8-4 Tennessee vs wins over 9-3 LSU, 11-1 Tulane & 7-5 A&M.

So, Mizzou has better wins AND better losses.
So which one of the Mizzou wins were better? I'm confused. Not a single one of those teams Mizzou beat that you listed is currently ranked in the AP top 25.

Both teams lost.
How about a head-to-head comparison vs LSU??

Imo...Mizzou is the better team right now as mentioned by Meansonny. It seems Mizzou has gotten stronger as the season progressed, whereas, Ole Miss has been a little meh.
I'll defer to the ones ranking them to decide who gets the a NY6. Right now that favors Mizzou.

I agree. Shredder has +400 yards from scrimmage.

I think the better argument is that both Missouri and Ole Miss deserve a NY6 bowl over Pedo State.

I thought we already knew this?

Anyone that uses the “Mizzou didn’t lose as bad to UGA” argument is stupid. Mizzou lost to LSU at home. Ole Miss didn’t.

Next best win is over Tulane
Don't forget Ole Miss got to play Tulane without Tulane's starting quarterback, the most prolific passer in Green Wave history.

Is it that close win over Memphis or edging out Florida?

Missouri would whip either one of those teams.
Missouri's only losses this year are to LSU in a game they led with 3 minutes to go, and in Athens in a 4 quarter game to the #1 defending champs. Despite being ranked in the top 10 I still don't think missouri gets enough pub.

This is an argument for Tulane being a good win. I'm not sure that's the argument you were attempting, but it's the one you made.
So you're either saying Tulane is a really good team or they are an arse team with a really good QB.
Either way, a road win against an 11-1 top 20 team is better than any Mizzou win.
