In early December. Bucks earned that bye week, didn’t they?

True. I had forgotten that.

A better question is why are you - a Buckeye fan- practically living on this site?
I love football. I would watch it every day if it was on. While I find SEC SEC SEC annoying and childish, I do recognize the high caliber of football in the league.

Why don’t you pick an SEC program and join us as a part of the best conference in the country? You seem so interested in our teams it shouldn’t be too hard to chose one
That is not a bad idea. I liked to watch Tennessee last season based on their style of play but I have no idea if that will be the norm for them. Which school would you recommend besides your own?

Indianapolis is great but the CFP is much better.

Are you blaming cold weather for your very beneficial bye week? Only the luckiest of teams can pull that off.

What are you talking about? Georgia played its best game of all last season and only won on a botched kick.
Yes, well….Georgia also missed 2 FGs and Kirby went for it on 4th down in scoring position and didn’t convert. That’s 13 points we left on the field. We get those points, and we score 55 and beat you by 14.

Ohio state got lucky.

With Heupel that offense will be similar each year. We might step back this season but as one commentator said is going from 44 points a game to 40 points a game really going to matter?

Late to the party
LSU was the first SEC team to go undefeated ever and the first to go 15-0.
LSU wasn’t late. They set the standard for others to build on.

Sounds hypothetical to me.

It might if you lose by 3 lol. But seriously I understand what you mean and I agree. How is the defense looking?

The advantage Ohio state gained by earning a bye isn’t hypothetical.

That's the big question. As maligned as it was, it has actually improved each year but incrementally. Our DL was pretty solid last year but the secondary was mostly atrocious. I think they'll improve again this season but I honestly don't know by how much because we lost some good production on the DL.
We had an enormous exodus when Pruitt was fired and that's left a lot of us guessing when it comes to what Banks/Heupel's philosophy is going to be on that side of the ball. The first 2 seasons have been bend don't break and while the stats look atrocious the defense did ok with that.
A lot of the young guys in the secondary now have experience but I really want to know more about our DL before I predict our defense.

Their whole team was able to rest and get healthy. Meanwhile, we had key starters getting injuries.

Georgia had the whole season off with that schedule.
Ohio State would have been better off with a game instead of building rust.
