Is winning a title worth a losing record the next season?

I don't think you could find 1 LSU fan that would take back 2019 for a "winning" season this year.

One losing record?

Yes.

A decade of mediocrity because Gus Malzahn struck fire in Cam Newton?

No. Not worth it.

Plenty of teams have losing records without getting the title the year before.

Depends on what happens in the years to follow. Am I trading it for a string of shitty seasons? Or just one bad year and back to the top?

Law of diminishing returns and all. Not willing to give up too much for one title.

i would feel the losing season basically cancelled out the title season. the law of averages getting even

you get that high off a natty and then go cold turkey with a losing season that's got to be rough

For teams that don’t win near half the last dozen, yes.

I mean is it worse to ride the title roller coaster or be UGA year after year?

when is the last time LSU had a losing season?

seems like they lose 3 games max most years even when the offense isn't dynamic
