Not sure about the "best", whatever that means, but he's damn good.

Arky fans were leading me to believe that it'd be a seamless transition from Mallett to Wilson. I know the guy is good but he isn't where I thought he would be quite yet.

Mallett wouldn't be Mallett in this O, this year, with Knile injured, breaking in two new OT's, and getting hit so often. Mallett would probably be injured by now and have more INT's. Wilson is putting up pretty good numbers under the circumstances (often taking a beating while playing catch-up in a 1-dimensional O) and has shown good poise under pressure. I think he'll be even better next year after he and the OL both get a year's experience under their belts.

I think your surprise may be in part because he doesn't have a big statistical edge over Lee. Lee is doing better than many people expected and is having a very good year!

Just wondering why he isn't putting the unbelievable stats up yet. Arky fans were leading me to believe that it'd be a seamless transition from Mallett to Wilson.

It's been pretty smooth, no? What he has done so bad?

As far as stats, he is on pace for 3,700 yards and is the only QB this season to put up 500 yards in a game.

He definitely hasn't cost us any games yet, unlike our QB from last year.

Luck Foles Weeden Barkley Landry Jones, Texas Tech Qb Tannehill K. Moore all make SEC qb play look very pedestrian

Well hell yeah they do. Of course they all play in conferences where damn near every QB throws for 400 yards a game and near as I can tell playing 11 on defense must be illegal. Why you think TT and Oregon QB's rarely get drafted??

Apparently unbiased opinions say Tyler Wilson is top QB in the SEC (see Davey O'brien finalists)

What is skewed on Wilson's TD/INT ratio is he has 3 rushing TDs that wont show up in there. So he has 15-3 TD/INT ratio

leading the conference in YPG, YPA, APG. 3rd in completion % and TDs.

Seems pretty solid.

i think Wilson is better than Lee. Lee is sitting at #2 or #3 though.

He is most certainly the toughest QB in the SEC. There's really no debating that.

With Bray and Brantley injured, the top QBs in the SEC right now are Wilson, Murray, Lee, and McCarron. LINK

That's a better thread... What a change sitting backseat for a year can do for a qb! Lee has made shocking improvements. I wish he looked slightly less impressive ;)

Without question.

If so, what makes him such? because it isn't TD/INT ratio... just yards?

Skill.

Ain't skurred! Just sayin.

I have felt 100% confident in every game bama has played in the past 2 years except for LSU this year though... If that means anything.

Kinda glad AJ had that INT in Ut game and we started off slow. Hoping we remember we're human before this one.

I say it's Lee and JJ.

1a and 1b.

What is the main reason for their teams success?

LSU--Lee or JJ or defense or running game?

Ark--Wilson or defense or running game?

Wilson shoulders the burden Lee or JJ justs makes sure they don't lose.

I think he has shown exceptional mental and physical toughness. He shows great skill and poise as a 1st year starter.

I think one of the big reasons he doesn't have crazy numbers is the Arky O Line did a poor job protecting him. Has that line turned the corner some?

Overall any school would be happy to have a QB of Wilson's talent.

But

Even though he and the offense was out of rhythm he still threw for 230 yards and brought Arkansas back from a 17 point deficit.
