2-0 currently in the CWS and off until this weekends semi-final game.
State has not won a team title in its athletic departments history(roughly 127 years)...Is this the year?

I woke up this morning thinking this is their year to finally win in Omaha. They seem to have IT going for them at the right time.

I hope so for them. Fun team to watch, great program, great fan support.

They are playing well - so are NC State though

With Jordan and Allen hitting well, State will be a tough out.

That comeback over Virginia was impressive, State is getting hot at the perfect time

Which is more impressive?
127 years without a national title
or
29 years without a national, conference, or tournament title in mens basketball, baseball, or football?

Right. 1992 baseball conference tournament title. For comparison purposes, it is the longest drought in the P5. Second longest is Northwestern at 21 years (2000 football conference title). So it is a pretty incredible effort.
On the other hand, I think the only other P5 without any national title is kansas state right? Not sure how long their streak is though compared to MSUs 127.

Does NEVER constitute a drought? That implies it's been a long time between drinks.
Somehow what Miss State has accomplished in their 127-year history deserves something more descriptive.
I'm pleading with all etymologists out there to find some word in the human vernacular now that pays worthy tribute to such an occasion. Just in case such a miracle actually takes place.

There isn’t a word to describe it
