Is this the first year that there hasn't been a dominant CFB team?

It just didn't seem like there was that ONE team or a couple of teams that you just knew were the top dogs.
Lots of teams ran in spurts but just not one top team.
Are things more balanced than they ever have been? Thoughts.

I'm sure there has been at least one season like this in 100+ years of football. You may have to go all the way back to 2007

top dogs.
I know of one team that dominated their division and their conference this season.
Give the Barners credit...they had a great day at their house and UGA came in and slipped up....but they did not proceed to dominate when they had the chance in Atlanta...you can do better than this.
The 12-1 SEC Champs say hello.

The closest is bama.
Clemson lost to a team with a losing record.
uga lost a game by 4 scores.
Oklahoma lost to a middle of the road team by one score but it was at home.
bama lost by 2 scores to their rival but they can point to the injuries.
For someone with time...when was the last time a team won a national title but had a loss to a team that couldn't find 6 wins? I.E. Winning record.
or
When was the last time a team won a national title after losing by 4 scores in the regular season?
Having one loss isn't unusual, but they almost always are close games and to decent teams.

Getting beat by 4 scores is not an indicator of dominance. You won 12 games though...I will give you that.

Shhhh... The thUGA melt is going to be epic when Mayfield goes in dry. Everyone knows that Auburn was very injured going into the SECC, or the results would have been another 40-17 beating.

You don't remember LSU winning with 2 losses?
It makes me chuckle every time they bitch about Bama backing in
