What's funny is he was probably one of the ones acting like that before the last game..."Yawn, we are always in big games. It's cute that this game is big for LSU, but it's just another Saturday for us."

This game is huge but every NCG is. It's definitely the most unique NCG given the circumstances. Two teams from the same conference division playing for the NC might not ever happen again.

Not for Bama, i mean it's just another day for them duh.
yes. someone tell me when two teams from the same division played for the undisputed National Championship.
Also, two teams who have for my lifetime, been ultra competitors and warriors against each other.
This is bear and charlie mac and all the great past players coming together for one gigantic battle in the greatest city in America.
you ask biggest game ever? hands down.

1992 was the biggest game of the last 50 years for Bama. It was the day college football was reminded we were more than Bear Bryant.
The correct answer for the biggest game ever for Alabama though was January 1, 1926. The day Bama took the big stage for the first time.

Many will say no, but I think it is. One team wants to prove the first game was no fluke. The other team wants to prove it was. To top that off it is for the NC.

If yorue still awake, where we going out for your 95th?

I don't want to come off as trying to insult LSU with what I say later on because I'm stating what I've observed from the television/radio/internet.
First of all, yes, this is probably the biggest game in the history of both schools as these two teams are two of the best ever. Rivals duking it out for a National Title? Both teams have more to prove though. Bama wants to prove they are not going to let LSU take over the spotlight betweent he two, and LSU wants to prove that they can continue to beat the only team they follow. LSU is in Bama's shadow, and has been for a long time. Bama (well Florida too, but it seems to eat at LSU more about Bama) is the only team that they play constantly that has a winning record against them. It seems like recently LSU hates Alabama almost as much as Auburn does, and Bama hates LSU almost as much as they hate Auburn.
All in all though we should be thankful for the teams we cheer for this year. Both are powerhouses that no one but the other has a shot at beating.

Honestly, "This ain't your daddy's team" applies to both schools, but it's only a positive for one of us. Bama has been below average the last 30 years, by bama's standards. 30 years. Most people here are not even that old.
That is kind of funny. Bama has won 2 NATL Titles in the past 30 years with a possibility of a 3rd on Jan 9th. Yet, you are saying that is a disappointment by Alabama standards. That says A LOT about how good ALABAMA really is.

Indeed, this is a big game. In fact, the biggest in most fans lifetimes. All national championship games, in which your favorite team competes, are big to you. So, with that thought in mind, there has none been bigger for Bama, than the Sugar Bowl vs Notre Dame on Dec. 31, 1973. It was #1 vs #2, Bear vs Ara, South vs North. Oh, yeah. And, Billy Graham & Baptists vs The Pope & Catholics.

Hate? I chose to say that I respect the LSU (My 2nd favorite, BTW.) program and feel that most mature fans respect each others program. That ain't hate. Hate to lose to 'em, sure!
