Seriously, you guys are making my case solid as frick right now.
Honestly you've done a rather solid job of reinforcing other's opinions of Florida wimping out of playing the weekend it was first scheduled.

I would rather be delusional than a pussy.

I can't blame them.
I would be embarrassed af if LSU pussed out of a game against a two-loss team that just fired its coach. That's tough.

Because the alternatives to play at LSU three years in a row or a half-filled stadium on other days of the week were so palatable?
Again, if you think your AD wouldn't try to get the best outcome for his team, you're delusional.

You're faulting our AD for getting the best deal out of our game, even though literally any AD in the country would do the same?
Who has done this?

LSU has no tears because LSU has never gone 0-8 in the SEC west. And LSU has gone 8-0 in the SEC west. No other SEC west can claim that.

We did that after Katrina.

No,the alternative was to play Sunday or Monday. Explain how on that Thursday Georgia and South Carolina were able to agree to play on Sunday, but Florida wouldn't even consider Sunday or Monday--with LSU having agreed to fly in and out without taking any hotel rooms.
Foley REFUSED all week to even consider a Plan B.

our options were:
1. Play at an empty Tiger Stadium, losing homefield advantage and having to play in LSU three straight years.
2. Play at an empty neutral location, losing homefield advantage for three straight years.
I can see why you lack understanding.
It's your obvious lack of information.
Alleva proposed playing AT UF on Sunday or Monday - AS WELL AS proposing playing in Baton Rouge Saturday, Sunday or Monday, playing in a neutral site Saturday, Sunday or Monday, playing in a closed stadium Saturday, Sunday or Monday, playing in a house, playing with a mouse, playing on a boat, playing in a moat, ANYTHING to get the game in on the weekend scheduled. Alleva told Foley it would be VERY DIFFICULT to reschedule for another weekend.
Your AD said, "No, Saturday in Gainesville", "No, Saturday in Gainesville", "No, Saturday in Gainesville", "No, Saturday in Gainesville", "No, Saturday in Gainesville", "No, Saturday in Gainesville","No, Saturday in Gainesville", "The game is cancelled." Stankey said, "What he said ^ "
Meanwhile, Georgia suggested playing South Carolina in Columbia on Sunday, and South Carolina said, "Okay".
It REALLY could have been that simple. Foley cancelled the game on Thursday morning AFTER ALL other teams had made arrangements for their games potentially impacted by the storm.

I've never seen a fanbase melt over a game that got postponned.
LSU will only be playing 11 regular season games for the SECOND year in a row. frick that shite.
quote:
literally any AD in the country would do the same
Literally ALL other ADs of schools who had games impacted by the storm had contingency plans in place BEFORE FOLEY EVEN CANCELLED THE GAME.
Why is this so hard for you gator fans to understand? The information is available for you to absorb, you just don't want to see it.
I think that's why LSU fans are melting so hard, Foley was intransigent when other schools were making plans, yet Alleva gets the label of being intransigent.
It truly is bizarre.

I believe this is the reaction on the video conference after Joe told the SEC and Florida to stick it.

You left out where LSU offered to fly in, play the game, and fly out Saturday. This was so we wouldnt take up any rooms that might be necessary for disaster relief efforts.
You also left out where LSU said they would play Sunday or Monday.
Your AD sat on his arse for a reason.
Hes a douche.... bigly

Nobody is talking about UForfeit, so let me make a thread about LSU

1) Foley wussed out of playing that weekend.
2) Foley had no intentions of rescheduling the game. At all.
3) Foley later had it explained to him that his plan to skip the LSU game and gain an advantage to winning the east (winning percentage thing) had a problem. The problem being that if you don't play all 8 SEC games you are ineligible to go to Atl.
4) Now understanding he had to play the game he agreed to go to Baton Rouge only because he had no choice if he wanted a shot at Atl.
5) Foley is a slimy wuss molerat.
