I honestly agree with you. Our hope for a great season this year is purely irrational. The only positive metric for this team is returning production, but all that returning talent wasn’t exactly great last year. LSU won 5 games last year, and 2 of those wins were Vandy and South Carolina.

I think the offense will be improved, but I have a wait and see approach. I am skeptical about the OL play, as well, but the fact is, with the right game plan, their shortcomings can be kind of masked. The 2019 OL wasn't all that. Burrow made them look a lot better than they were. Also, our receivers were monsters and were able to break away fast enough for Burrow to get rid of the ball quickly. He was still hit, hurried and sacked a lot more than he should have been, for a championship caliber team. Before the season ever started, though, LSU knew they had to get rid of the ball quick and they game planned around that. It worked then. We'll see if they can come up with something like that this year.

In spite of the fact that it's Alabama's worst 17 year stretch in my lifetime, between Paul Bryant at Alabama and Nick Saban at LSU, Alabama won 35 more games than LSU, and won or shared 3 SEC titles to 2 for LSU.
In other words, even at its worst, Alabama was still better than LSU.

Who is betting that they’re both magically improved?
Statistically, the defense will finish near the top in the SEC.
I'm hopeful the offensive line looks a little better, or we'll be better prepared to compensate for that inefficiency. Having the same starting lineup in all offensive positions for the larger part of the season could help that.

You do realize that UA was one of the best CFB's of all time before CNS came to Titlletown ? There had been a few NC's and SECC's won. You already know whats going to happen after he leaves. There will be some much talent stockpiled just like when he left LSU it will take a retard like Les Miles years to screw it up
