Every position will be better than last year except for one. Plus we upgraded at 4 coaching positions. Why wouldn't we be excited about this year?

The fact LSU overcame that dismal defense and opt outs and beat fla was the highlight
Bama had an experienced team that didn’t need an offseason
It took a motivated bama team, a pandemic for saban to get over that LSU beatdown in Tuscaloosa

There’s never a more delusional fan base any year than LSU. They never stop talking trash, even if they lose by 38 or lose 9 out of 10. It’s really sad.

Because it's not like Alabama is 9&1 vs LSU the last 10 games.
5 points isn't a beatdown. 55-17 is a beatdown.

The last time LSU had 5 SEC losses was the season after Miles championship when we lost a ton of talent.
Last year was very similar, but throw in the pandemic, the lack of tune up games and Miles' injury and poof. .500... have to think we bounce back like the team did after that season and win 9/10 games this year.
Not even being optimistic or delusional, just basically saying that the law of averages will kick in.

I always thought Auburn fans made a lot of excuses growing up. Then I found this board and realized that LSU fans were lapping the field.

It’s because we don’t have a 5 foot qb, mediocre rb and wr and an unproven and usually average defense that Ole miss hung 50 on in a year where most teams played with depleted rosters and schedules *
