If you guys win 10 games this year I will put Chizik at god status...
You said where would we finish, and I said about the same spot bammer did last year. Fourth in the West douchebag.

For the sake of argument, since Saban is so responsible for every aspect of the team's success, would Saban be solely to blame for going 6-6 in 2007? Or since you place such a high value on assistants, would you say Chizik deserves much of the credit for leading the Auburn defense to a 13-0 record in 2004, or leading Texas' defense to an undefeated national championship the next season?

You just made his head hurt.

And we won 10 games last year and finished 4th...

I hate to jump in this pissing contest, but let's set out some hard and fast facts.
Nick Saban is an elite coach. He and Coach Bryant are the only two to win the SEC at 2 schools and he is alone as a BCS winner at 2 schools.
Gene Chizik was an excellent assistant. His head coaching career is mixed, but he has shown that he can win big. He has a chance to join the ranks of the elite, but he is in no way whatsoever in their company right now.

When Chizik wins 10 or more games 3 years running, you can come talk...

FTR - no AU fan was comparing Chiz and Saban until TT brought it up. Just because Chiz isn't Saban, doesn't make him a bad coach.

Sorry, but how many times, besides the current streak(3), has saban won back to back 10 win seasons?

I think he is a good coach, and he does what any good coach does...namely surround himself with great assistants. Coach Bryant used to say that he didn't want anyone that wasn't smarter than him.
I do, however, think that AU fans should temper their expectations. Cam Newton, or someone of his ilk, isn't going to walk through the door again for a long time. The kid from NC State isn't Cam. The high school kid isn't Cam. Chizik has a chance to show how good he really is now.
