No. They hired the guy that said it was too hard to recruit to Oregon and someone came in behind him and recruited top 10 classes. If you want to recruit to Nebraska, Scott Frost is not your guy. Scott needs to be in a recruiting hotbed because he learned from the worst at recruiting: Chip Kelly.

You do realize that Knoxville is with in a 5 hour radius or less from Nashville, Memphis, Charlotte, Atlanta, Richmond, Indianapolis, Louisville, and Birmingham. Knoxville doesn’t have the recruiting issues that Nebraska has. Tennessee has all the resources as Bama, and UGA.
As bad as Tennessee has been over the years they have still been able to pull in top 5, 10,15 and 25 classes. Just imagine how good recruiting will be once Tennessee is good again regularly?
Tennessee problems for the last 20 years had been leadership at the top not at the football level. Now it appears UT has fixed the issues with the president and AD.
Even outside the southeast Tennessee has been recruiting nationally just fine over the years. Just take a look at the current roster and you will see kids from California and Arizona on the roster.
Also Tennessee had done very well over the years recruiting the west coast. Eric Ange, Casey Clausen snd Velus Jones are just a few examples. Also they have the #2 QB in the country coming to UT that’s from California.
Even Butch Jones was able to pull in the #3 class in the country and couple top 10 class.
Pruitt and Dooley even had top 15 classes in recruiting. Pruitt, Butch and Dooley are Tennessee worse 3 coaches in school history.
Now that UT has the dysfunctional leadership behind them, expect them to improve not only in football but all sports. Danny White is considered one of the top AD’s in the country. He had been the best AD Tennessee has had over the last 15 years.
Remember where Tennessee was before Heuple showed up? Year before Tennessee had 2 players drafted. Hueple 1st year he had 31 players to transfer out and 5 players drafted still. He took over a team under NCAA investigation and only 55 players on scholarship. Tennessee had the smallest team “scholarship wise” than anyone Power 5 team.
Hueple is the best coach at UT since the fat man left and will have Tennessee back to a respectable program soon. He already has a top 15 recruiting class and most likely be Top 10 for the 23 class.

Let's start with Tennessee. UT made a living getting the Memphis kids, Missouri kids, southern Illinois kids, Georgia kids and Huntsville kids forever. They did well enough to be able to win a lot of games.
Nebraska was different. Nebraska decided to play the option game which suited them fine. Most high school teams in Nebraska play 8 man football. Teams with lesser talent went to the option game in the 70's. The option was an invention of Emory Bellard and was designed for teams with not much talent. It had 3 potential ball carriers on each play. Colorado became a national power running it. Tems that could recruit talent a la Oklahoma, Alabama, Texas saw it as a tool to be able to not just compete but dominate. Nebraska can still recruit pretty good players but they aren't gonna be able to do RPO football and win. The option needs to come back to Lincoln. Until Nebraska gets back to effectivley running the ball and putting their best players on defense, they are screwed.

Wants to bring up the robbery from last year. But he conveniently didn’t mention Tennessee rolling Iowa and Northwestern just a few years ago in bowl game when both was nationally ranked and in top half of the B1G.
