What about Boise State's hook and lateral in that same game
Due to the huge difference in football skill and size plus talent, the magnanimous stage for Boise St. at that time. Yes, that and App St.'s block to defeat Michigan

It was probably “a little bit unfair”, if you are a whining midget at least.

Yes. Because it propelled them to an undefeated season, in the last play of the game, against their arch rival.
To be fair, 2013 Auburn did not finish undefeated.

He also forgot LSU beat AU that year

Buzzer beaters, hail marys, walk off home runs. Those plays happen all the time. But this play had literally never happened to end a game and it happened in a one of the moat historic rivalries in sports with two top 5 teams playing for a chance at a championship.
You have to define greatest and how much the context matters. Either way, I don't think the Kick Six is the greatest play in sports history.
Right off the top of my head I definitely would put The Immaculate Reception, Montana to Clark, Flutie's Hail Mary, Johnny Rodgers' punt return, and Laettner's buzzer beater against UK above it just to name a few.
One thing that hurts the Kick Six is almost no one except Auburn fans even know who the hell Chris Davis is and it didn't happen in a championship game (beyond the SECW).

That play was pretty awesome....totally unexpected...exciting....so much on the line...two great rivals.
Probably forgettable for Saban! Just when you think you had all your bases covered...and this happened.

No, Buck Belue to Lindsay Scott to beat Florida on the last play of the game is better. Georgia went on to win the Natty.
Put the cow back in the barn and go to bed, Grampa

Remind me again did Auburn win the Natty that year? Don't think so. So in the end all that play got you was a win against Alabama.
The Lindsay Scott play kept Georgia undefeated and led to them winning the National Championship.
And the Scott play was against Floridas starting defense. The kick six was against Alabamas fg unit. One is different from the other I'll let you figure it out.

Is the kick six even the more exciting Auburn Football play from that month?
The bomb to beat UGA that year might have been even better

Was that the same game that Tony "Two Knees" Richardson hit ol' "Fingers" Wallace on the razzle dazzle to win at the buzzer? 1914 Sugar Bowl right?

I have with four SEC championships and two national championships since that day. It was definitely a shitty feeling in the moment to be beaten on such a fluke of a play, but things have happened since then that have more than made up for the 2013 loss to Auburn. It's getting closer and closer to being a decade since that game was played. Most Alabama fans have moved on and only remember it because it likely cost us a three-peat. But we've also had the opportunity for another three-peat since that time.

That said, 2nd and 26 was between two top 4 teams to actually win a championship, happened in OT, and after the other team had made a 50+ yard FG to take the lead, being the winning team being led by a freshman who came off the bench
This is true but remember most on this board would like to forget that game because of the outcome.

Yep. Had that play been Fromm to Ridley instead of Tagovailoa to Smith, it would be acknowledged by this board as the greatest play in the history of the sport.

It was a fluky as hell play but typical with AU at their stadium when playing Alabama. With that said, I would say it has to be up there at the top.

It's certainly in the top 5

It was an unreal event but ..no. Not even in CFB history
I think the Kenyan Drake KO return against Clemson is one of that most underrated important plays and greater than k6. Clemson had just scored and Bama was wearing down on D. And Drake, a really good player that struggled at times, was hurt at times, showed brilliance at times, sealed a national championship
Then there is 2nd 26

Billy Cannon's run against O'Piss in 58 for a touchdown to win the game!
