That's not how this works. The school presidents are in charge of all their students.

Sankey has some pull with the school presidents i would imagine. He signs some big arse checks for them every year.

Their main priority is (and should be) academics and research. They have no business/qualifications to meddle in athletics.

We are fricked. If the b10 hadn’t been counts about it there might have been a chance

ADs and presidents are generally cut from the same cloth: politics

LSU's interim president Tom Galligan needs to just say screw it and vote for football.

If it doesn't work out and he gets blamed for shite, he was interim anyway

If it works out great, he can potentially use the success to remove that "interim" tag like Ed did

...Honestly I think it comes down to Alabama and their Red Elephant Club alums. Where they go, everyone else in the conference will follow. School presidents seem to live in an alternate universe. So, you never know what they will do. I can predict when my dog takes a dump better than predicting what college presidents will do.

I'd bet a lot of presidents are getting invites to go play at Augusta National right now with some very influential football fans

You actually have a point there... obviously I think the ones who should truly be making these decisions are the coaches.
