He honestly reminds me of Orgeron. He's a perfect cultural fit at Arkansas, but the minute he loses several games he was supposed to win, fans will quickly turn on him and question how a line coach ever got an SEC head coaching job.

Having said that, I am rooting for the guy. Seems like a total class act.

Don't love them for long. Pittboss is down 50 lbs according to reporting, and still in the process.

I get what you’re saying, but I have to disagree. Orgeron can recruit, he’s fiery, and he’s certainly a cultural fit for LSU, but you always get the sense that he’s going to explode like a volcano.

I don’t get that with Pittman. Everything about him exudes stability, discipline, and leadership. All fan bases have at least slightly higher expectations than they probably should, but I feel like the Arkansas fan base is just excited to be competitive again, and optimistic going forward. I get a sense that they know they got the right guy, and look forward to many years with pittboss as their leader...because they know they will be competitive. And if he stays long enough I could see them winning a couple SEC titles and make the playoffs.

To me, if I’m an Arkansas fan, that’s pretty exciting. But I’ve never thought Ed O had what it took to build a stable program. Too much internal turmoil to last a long time, imo.

I thought he was going to be a great coach after I saw the video of his first time meeting the Arkansas players. Sam Pittman Meets The Team

You're never going to hear Sam Pittman tell an opposing fan "bring your arse on in your sissy blue shirt."

He's not going to run his mouth about whipping Alabama's arse in recruiting.
