Is Ole Miss voting to change the mascot?

Saw an article on Facebook (Which mkes me question its authenticity) that the Ole Miss students were voting this month on changing the school mascot. Is this true? The article said they want to change it to "Landsharks" which is why I am doubting the article. I have no doubt that there are a ton of snowflakes demanding getting rid of rebels, but I thought they would change it to bears.

Snowflake is quickly becoming one off the most overused, intellectually lazy comments out there

well some of us have been mushrooms about the importance of the Ole Miss mascot vote...I just found out this morning on the local news...

Colonel Reb got replaced by the lovable Black Bear years ago. The students now think the Gay Landshark is better, so they want to vote and make the change.

Imagine the legal hoops Ole Miss would have to jump through to license the user of the admiral Ackbar character.
Of course since OM is a giant clown show they may be able to argue that using Ackbar as their mascot constitutes satire.
