This is Oates trying to garner sympathy for Miller. Likely in the hopes that the national media won’t stick a flashlight up both their asses during Tournament press conferences. Nothing like bringing the heat onto yourself and then playing the victim.

Is this armed guard going to be at the games? If so, Bama's opponents need to be allowed to bring armed security guards as well or it will be unsafe for everyone there

If Miller feels like someone out here is faking on him, maybe he could just text a teammate to bring him some heat, and conceal it in a hat for him. No need for him to have an armed guard.
