Let us not kid ourselves... Arkansas and Texas A&M will always have Texas as our primary rival. The same goes for any other SWC team. Though saying that Baylor is the Whorns third rival shows signs of way too many hits off the old peace pipe. It will always be OU/Aggies/Arkansas/the rest of the SWC.
Fans of LSU won't get it. They don't really have a rival... or they have a ton of minor rivals.
There is a level of hatred that LSU doesn't have for anyone that makes a classic rivalry. Bama/Auburn. Army/Navy. Michigan/Ohio State. The entire world/Notre Dame.
Those are rivalries. LSU falls into the... we want to beat you but darn you guys throw good parties category. If Tulane wasn't going on multiple decades of stinking on ice then maybe LSU would have a classic rivalry with them.

I doubt any Rebel fan under 30 truly believes LSU is their biggest rival.

I think Georgia may have Auburn at number one, there is a minority of Auburn fans who have Georgia at number one. Historically I know that Georgia was Auburn's number one but possibly since the late 80s Alabama has become Auburn's number one. This of course would go on to upset Georgia fans who are now jealous.

Generally, I'd say it's 50/50 between FSU and Georgia for us. The latter is a bigger one though imo because we're in the same conference/division and have been playing a lot longer.

Couldn't be farther from the truth. If the question was, "which school does your fanbase hate the most" or "who is your most hated rival" then I would 100% agree with you. That's somewhat common sense and I echo your post...a guy in columbus is going to hate auburn, a guy in rome is going to hate tennessee, etc.
But the question was "SEC programs's rivals", and that doesn't change based on the residence of john q. fan. It's based on the actual school and program itself, which is largely unchanging. The answer to this question shouldn't and doesn't flap in the wind based on fan A living in valdosta and fan B living in augusta. He's asking about UGA itself, the school, the program. And when it comes to that, the answer has since day 1, and always has been, and is, and always will be georgia tech.
