I love the fact that he thinks I am biased. I had our fans livid at me when I stated if we cheated then we deserve what we get.

Yet I'm somehow biased.

"willful violators" clause DOES APPLY.

Period.

If the NCAA chooses to invoke it. Miami had a much more pernicious scheme and I'm fairly certain the NCAA didn't levy that clause against them.

As it stands, LSU had 1 player's father get paid by Funes (seemingly after he had committed and enrolled). It appears from the involvement of the Davey family members that the purpose of Funes scheme's was laundering the embezzled money back to Funes.

If we look to past issues, Miami football had 12 players who received benefits during their recruitment. The final punishment ended up being:
quote:

a 2 year bowl ban (self-imposed; NCAA didn't add another)

a number of player suspensions (and the required restitution before they could play again),

9 scholoarhips lost over 3 years (breakdown determined by the school),

Players on unofficial visits may be provided only one complimentary ticket to one home game in both 2014 and 2015,

basketball lost 1 scholarship/year for 3 seasons,

the entire athletic program was put on probation,

and various coaches were penalized.

Until more information is forth coming regarding the circumstances surrounding the payment(s) to James Alexander and the issues purportedly surrounding the basketball program, this is all speculation as to the severity of the violations and any accompanying punishment.

- Will Wade reinstated

LSU doesn’t have anything to do with this. Just more hopes and wants from Yahoo and tSECr.

and USC had nothing to do with Bush getting paid. Hell, that was an agent paying him. The statute of limitations was up too. Yet.................

Miami changed the rules for the NCAA.

It's why they can now use court evidence. What that booster did was not touchable...

Rules have changed

It’s hard to say. The only thing certain in the SEC is that both Mississippi schools are garbage

Alabama didn't "prompt" Logan Young to pay athletes. DuBose damn sure was never recorded negotiating for players.

Not only did Alabama not know about Young's nefarious dealings but, FatPhil had Young murdered just for being an Alabama booster.

Meanwhile, Roy "Hot Tub" Adams, the mega Tennessee booster, had every new Tennessee recruit for over 30 years sent to his home by the Tennessee athletic department.

After arriving at his mountain dungeon, the recruits were plied with alcohol, drugs, money, gay porno, given free anal dildos, and led by Adams to his infamous hot tub where these innocent young men were discombobulated all over the place.

Well I read your list. I recognized about five things on it and "endured" none. We got laced in the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. Which, similar to an enema, cleared the way for more FEASTING on you little sisters of the poor. And yes I was sure one of the guys who left early was coming back but he didn't. However the stark reality is this: short of crippling injuries at any given position 2019 will be Saban's most talented starting 22 @ Alabama.

And the assistant coaching staff is tremendously improved. Charles Kelley, Sal Sunseri, Pete Golding, Brian Baker and Jim Lahey are great football coaches. And they (the team) is motivated. The only game that really concerns is the trip to Auburn. They are going to have a great team as well. Not as talented as UA but great experience and speed. LSU will be improved too but with injury luck UA is explosively good.
